Dan Petrovich

Daniel “Dan” Petrovich enjoyed a fulfilling 37-year career at United Airlines, flying a wide range of aircraft, including the Airbus 320 and Boeing models (727, 737, 747, 757, 767, 777, and 787). Known as a pilot’s pilot, Dan held leadership roles at United and within ALPA, including Miami Chief Pilot, Flight Operations Duty Manager, Acting Manager of Pilot Domicile Operations, and LCA on the A-320, B-777, & B-787. He also served on the Top 100 Visionary Leadership Board, UAL/CAL Merger Change Management Team, and as a facilitator in the Captain’s Development Course. Dan was a two-term elected representative for Miami pilots and served on the ALPA Critical Incident Response Program Committee. He remains active as President of the Retired United Pilots Association, a member of the Retired Presidents Committee of the Retired United Airlines Employees Association, and with the Quiet Birdmen.

Originally from Miami, Dan holds an AA from Miami-Dade Community College and a BS from Barry University. Passionate about sports, he competed in cross country, gymnastics, and baseball as a youth, and now enjoys SCUBA diving, boating, golfing, and running half marathons. Dan has coached over 200 youth sports teams and served as a baseball commissioner on his city’s sports program executive board. He and his wife, Natalie, have four children and six grandchildren, and they currently live in Fort Lauderdale, enjoying traveling, motorcycling, and spending time with family.
