Tyler Skutnik

Tyler Skutnik was born in Antioch, Illinois, and grew up working in his family restaurant, Sandlots of Salem, in Salem, Wisconsin. This experience sparked his passion for cuisine and taught him the value of hard work, teamwork, and attention to detail. He also developed an early appreciation for leadership, problem-solving, and delivering high-quality service—skills that continue to influence his professional approach.

Tyler earned his bachelor’s degree in Business Administration & Finance from the University of Wisconsin–Whitewater. While attending Whitewater, Tyler was selected to participate in the Applied Investment Program, joining a team of students managing a multi-million-dollar institutional portfolio. This hands-on experience provided him with a strong foundation in investment analysis, portfolio management, and collaborative decision-making.

Tyler joined LRC Aviation Advisors, a division of Oarsman Capital, as a Wealth Advisor, supporting the firm’s pilot clients while also contributing to the investment committee and internship program. He is actively pursuing his CFP® certification and continues to develop the technical expertise and strategic insight necessary to provide thoughtful, long-term financial guidance.

Outside of his professional life, Tyler enjoys spending time with family and friends, trying new culinary experiences, and following professional sports teams. Tyler lives in Milwaukee with his fiancée, McKenna, and they are looking forward to getting a puppy and moving into their first home in the near future.
